OptiCool
Most apartments are cooled by a central chiller which pushes cooled water through the fan coil units in each residence.

ista’s OptiCool system connects to the fan motor in each residence. When the fan is activated, allocation equipment measures the total amount of time each residence receives cooling. Run time\temperature data is combined with BTU specifications for the fan coil unit and relative KWh consumption. From that, the cooling and usage costs are determined.
